These Japanese Treats Are Perfect for Those With a Sweet Tooth

We're talking pudding and specialty cakes!

When it comes to pasalubong, Shiroi Koibito, the classic melt-in-your-mouth cookie from Ishiya in Hokkaido, is on top of everyone's list. However, if you're looking for something new to bring home, Ishiya has these new treats on offer at the New Chitose Airport:

Shiroi Koibito White Chocolate Pudding (¥ 1,080 for a pack of 3)

Made from the same white chocolate used to make Shiroi Koibito, Shiroi Koibito White Chocolate Pudding comes with a sweet and sour haskap sauce that complements its rich chocolate taste. You don't even have to keep this in the refrigerator because it can be served at room temperature.

Shiroi Baum TSUMUGI (¥ 1,296)

While this treat looks like a simple baumkuchen, it is coated with Shiroi Koibito's delectable white chocolate instead of butter. After it is completely baked, it doesn't just retain the white color, but also gets a soft, moist texture. One piece is a good size for sharing with family and friends.

Shiroi Koibito Soft-Served Ice Cream (¥ 340)

Although this product may not be brought home as pasalubong, you should still try this delicious ice cream especially if you're a Shiroi Koibito fan. Made with Hokkaido fresh milk and Shiroi Koibito white chocolate, this sweet, creamy dessert is the perfect treat while waiting for your flight!

Mifuyu (¥ 390 for a pack of 3)

Available in three different chocolate flavors, Mifuyu is a snack that you'll absolutely enjoy. One pack contains a piece of each mouthwatering chocolate flavor. Black chocolate is infused with sweet and sour blueberry, milk chocolate is combined with sweet caramel, and white chocolate is mixed with a little bit of marron.

There's also a matcha flavor for green tea lovers!

Shiroi Roll Cake (¥ 972)

With only white chocolate and egg whites as ingredients, this sponge cake is indeed a lovely representation of Hokkaido's cold, snowy landscape. Just look at how smooth the white frosting appears to be. We can't help but wonder what the baker's technique is to keep the cream intact even after the cake is baked. And don't get us started on the white chocolate granules!

For more Ishiya goodies, head over to Shiroi Koibito Park in Sapporo! The place has a wider variety of Ishiya products, such as sweets that can only be purchased at their cafe. Plus, you can get a chance to watch how they create letters and artworks using candies.

Shiroi Koibito Park is located at 2-2 Miyanosawa, Nishi Ward, Sapporo City, Hokkaido.
