Kamadaki Omimai Gindawara
Kamadaki Omimai Gindawara is famous for its delicious rice cooked in Shigaraki pots. The rice is made from local Koshihikari rice terraces with local hard water makes this rice a bit sweet and plump. The side dishes that go well with this rice are classic deep-fried chicken and the exquisite grilled mackerel.

The deep-fried chicken with Omi rice flour is crunchy outside and juicy inside. It comes with grated yam and miso soup from local miso.
The rice is cooked in Shigaraki ware's special Hagama that has an ideal heat conductivity which makes the dish delicious.
What makes the experience sweeter is you can always refill your cup of rice for free!

Uomatsu Shigaraki Store
Uomatsu Shigaraki Store is a popular all-you-can-eat store that serves Omi beef and matsutake mushroom plan named Ganso Abaregui. The interior of the restaurant is surrounded by bamboo groves which makes it a very unique place to eat at. You can eat 90-minute sukiyaki pots with Shiga’s representative beef and autumn luxury ingredients. Take away some homemade matsutake mushroom dried kelp as pasalubong for the family.
All-you-can-eat matsutake mushrooms and Omi beef (¥7,500, available all year round).
Eat as much as you can for 90 minutes with Omi beef and matsutake mushroom purchased from the Omi beef specialty store in sukiyaki pan.
The store staff will prepare a pot for you with Omi beef and matsutake mushrooms.
Matsutake flavored rice, matsutake mushroom steamed pot dishes, and desert are all included in the set meal.
The store has an open-air atmosphere. In addition to the table seats and tatami rooms surrounded by the greenery of the bamboo forest, there are also floor seats and azuma-style seats.
The shop is located near the site of the Shigarakinomiya Shrine, an ancient site that has been designated as a national historic site.

Ogama is a cafe and gallery operated by the pottery Meizangama that has been around since the Edo period. An ohnoborigama (large klin) that finished its role 20 years ago was opened as a gallery space. You can freely tour around Ogama and try out their drinks served in Shigaraki pottery at the adjacent cafe.

Aside from coffee, you can also choose the Japanese black tea from the nearby Asamiya tea.
