Yoshinoya Japan Is Offering Meal Sets With Your Favorite Pokemon Characters
Heads up, Pokemon fans!
Last December 19, the Poke Mori was officially launched at all Yoshinoya branches across Japan. This is in collaboration with Pocket Monster. After the launch, the Poke Mori bowls and collaboration figures have since been gaining a lot of attention in social media.
Before the start of the nationwide sales, the Ebisu branch exclusively started pre-selling meals and items last December 14. Below, we take a closer look at the store.
You’ll find a Pokemon ball sign right outside the entrance of Yoshinoya Ebisu Ekimae Branch.
Collect all six variants of the Poke Mori Special Figures.
The collaboration will only last until March 18, 2020. It is the first of the series of projects with Pocket Monster.
Their menu features rice bowls that are named after famous Pokemon characters. Upon ordering a Poke Mori set, the dish will be served to you in a Pokemon ball-shaped bowl with one of the six figurines available. You can choose from the Charizard (Lizardon), Gradon, Slowpoke (Yadon), Weepinbell (Utsudon), and Gastrodon (Toritodon). Take note that the figurines will become unavailable as soon as they’re out of stock.
The Poke Mori Beef Rice Bowl Set (¥498) comes with a juice box and a Pokemon figure.
The three menus of Poke Mori include the Poke Mori Beef Rice Bowl Set (¥498), Poke Mori Kids Beef Rice Bowl Set (¥448), and Poke Mori Kids Curry Set (¥448). All of these come with a fruit juice and a Pokemon figure. The most exciting part of it all is that you won’t know which Pokemon you’re going to get until your meal is served!
Once you finish eating, you’ll find a Pokemon illustrated at the bottom of the bowl. The Poke Mori Beef Rice Bowl Set also comes in a smaller size, so those who can’t eat a lot can choose this option instead. You can order the solo Poke Mori Kids Curry (¥328) and Poke Mori Beef Rice Bowl (¥328) too. However, these won’t come with a juice box or a Pokemon figure.
Bowls for Poke Mori Takeout
Aside from this, there is also a special takeout bowl featuring a Pokemon ball design available for the Poke Mori Set. Although a Pokemon is not illustrated at the bottom of the container, it still comes with the usual juice box and Pokemon figurine.
A large Poke Mori bowl stands in front of the shop.
Seeing the large Poke Mori bowl, located next to the store’s automatic door, is enough to get you feeling excited and hungry even before entering the store.
Similar to the figurines, you’ll never know which Pokemon is illustrated in your bowl until you finish eating!
At the order counter, Poke Mori bowls with Pokemon character designs are being displayed. The tables are illustrated with Pokemon balls, while the walls are filled with Poke Mori designs. There are many good places where you and your friends can take photos inside the store.
The interior of the store
You can dine and sit comfortably anywhere at the store.
The store looks like a café inside. There are also some seats with outlets if you plan on working inside. Besides this, a drink bar where you can enjoy coffee, cocoa, and café mocha that cost ¥149 and cakes for dessert are available there. The store’s laid-back atmosphere makes it the perfect place to relax and chat with your family or friends.

Meanwhile, the specially made Pokemon figures are palm-sized and look very realistic. Pokemon fans will enjoy collecting the famous Pokemons from the first series “Pocket Monster” such as Charizard (Lizardon), Slowpoke (Yadon), and Weepinbell (Utsudon).
Even adults will feel nostalgic about their childhood when they receive their Pokemon figurines.
Since these are available in Yoshinoya stores throughout Japan, you can easily collect all six figures wherever you are.
It’s fun to compare Pokemons with your friends and family.
