Enjoy Your Favorite Starbucks Iced Coffee Drinks at Home by Following These Recipes

Do you miss your daily Starbucks fix?

During this time when people are supposed to stay at their own homes, many can relate to missing their favorite Starbucks fix. To somehow relieve this,
Starbucks shares their coffee recipes so people can enjoy their Starbucks coffee even at home.

Here are a few from their iced coffee compilation.

The basic Iced Coffee

Make a delicious iced coffee by first following the 4 basics of coffee.

There are four basic pointers on how to make that perfect blend of coffee.

The amount of coffee beans.

Starbucks recommends having 2 tablespoons of coffee (about 10g) to 180ml of water.

Use the right coffee grind size depending on your method of coffee brewing.

If you’re using a coffee press, they recommend using the coarse ground as the grains become coarser the longer it contacts with water, while for espresso, you should be using the fine ground. The proper grind of coffee brings out the best flavor.

Use fresh water at the right temperature.

98% of a cup of coffee is water so it is essential to use water that is fresh and pure. The ideal temperature of water is 90°C to 96°C.

Ingenuity to maintain its freshness.

To enjoy the coffee flavors as it is, grind the beans just before making your coffee. Coffee beans are just like any other fresh food, so oxygen, light, heat, and humidity are their biggest enemies. Store them in closed containers in a cool and dark place, and use up within 1-2 weeks.

Now that we’ve taken note of these pointers, we’re ready to make coffee!

  1. Put twice as much coffee beans of your usual hot coffee in the coffee filter and set.
  2. Add more ice than the amount of coffee to be extracted.
  3. Gradually pour hot water in the same way as hot coffee (pour a little hot water, simmer for 20-30 seconds. Repeat the process).

Iced Coffee with Orange

Enjoy Starbucks at home with an iced coffee with orange!

After the basics, let’s move on to some practical version. By adding some sliced oranges on your glass, you can make a brilliant glass of iced coffee!

  1. Follow the previous instructions of how to make an iced coffee. But for this, Starbucks recommends using their Kenya coffee beans as it has complex tones of grapefruit and blackcurrant flavors.
  2. Put some orange slices on your preferred glass.
  3. Add an appropriate amount of ice and pour in the iced coffee.
  4. Add some gum syrup as preferred (about 10ml). And to add more flavor, an orange syrup might be nice.

Iced Wiener Coffee

Top it with some whipped cream

If you’re in a mood for something extra fancy, try this
Iced Wiener Coffee. Adding some ice cream on top instead of whipped cream is also delish!

  1. Extract iced coffee. For this, they recommend using their Fair Trade Certified™ Italian Roast as it has tones of caramel.
  2. Add an appropriate amount of ice and pour in the iced coffee.
  3. Add about 10ml of hazelnut syrup.
  4. Top with some whipped cream.
  5. Finish by adding some caramel sauce and almond slices.

Iced Coffee Macchiato

Adding caramel sauce is also good!

Via Iced Coffee is a premium stick coffee that easily dissolves in water so you can have a delicious cup of coffee anytime. Using it in an arranged coffee by pouring some caramel sauce on top makes it even more convenient.

  1. Pour milk on a glass, add syrup of preference, then mix.
  2. Add plenty of ice.
  3. Dissolve Starbucks Via Iced Coffee into 30ml water, then pour on the glass of milk.
