Hachiya, the Japanese tea store known for offering new ways of enjoying Japanese tea, recently opened new branches at Sendagaya and Daikanyama last December 1 and 5 respectively.

This tea stand, opened by a popular fashion designer, aims to “restructure Japanese tea as a new culture in the contemporary era.”

It offers special kinds of tea like sencha (green tea), hojicha (roasted green tea), and genmaicha (brown rice tea). It also has tea latte made with matcha powder and milk using a bamboo whisk. These drinks go well with the natural Japanese desserts also available at the store.

Hachiya also has their original handmade Green Tea Soda, which offers a fresh take on the traditional drink, while keeping the flavor of green tea intact. Meanwhile, Fruits Green Tea Soda is a sweet tea with green tea jelly and seasonal fruitsperfect for those who are big on flavor and texture.
