Tokyo Banana x Hello Kitty Is the Collaboration You’ve Been Waiting For
It's the first one that isn't banana-flavored.
Tokyo’s popular souvenir, Tokyo Banana, has always been known for its banana-flavored pastries. This time, though, it gets a kawaii transformation through its first collaboration with Japan’s favorite feline character: Hello Kitty!
The new edition flavor, called The Apple Cake from Ginza, features a spongy Hello Kitty cake filled with juicy apple jam and wrapped in smooth milk cream. The reason for making it an apple-flavored treat--a first in the brand’s history--has something to do with Hello Kitty’s profile: Her height is equivalent to five apples, her weight is equal to three apples, and her favorite food is the apple pie cooked by her mother.
This special edition Tokyo Banana comes in two package size variations: ¥648 for 4 pieces and ¥1,188 for 8 pieces, which you can get at Fa-So-La shops in Narita Airport and Tokyo Souvenir Shop North in Haneda International Airport.
