Having been around for 16 years, Yakiniku-Kobo Hanagoyomi certainly know their beef. The yakiniku restaurant is known for their selection of meats, offering the likes of Kobe beef, Saga beef and Yamagata beef at a reasonable price. They also have a variety of sauces, providing not just one but six different kinds of dips: grilled meat dipping sauce, lemon sauce, ponzu sauce (a sour orange-based sauce), rock salt, plum salt and Yuzu salt.

Our tip: Put some wasabi on the grilled beef to spice things up.

For those who are watching their diet, they also offer organic vegetables that are sourced directly from the farmers.

They also have harami (tender beef around the diaphragm) that is soft, tasty, and not greasy at all, and serve Korean dishes such as Chijimi (Korean-style squid pancake).

If you’re wondering what to get, try their Ta-ke Course. The set includes mixed beef, sausage, Korean-style squid pancake, grilled vegetables, rice, and dessert.

The interiors are homey and welcoming.

If you plan to visit Osaka, especially Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street, you can’t miss Yakiniku-Kobo Hanagoyomi! They also have an English menu and are used to getting lots of foreigner customers, so you don’t have to worry about miscommunication.

Interesting trivia: In the past, yakiniku or BBQ restaurants wouldn’t get a lot of female customers. While things have changed, Yakiniku Kobo Hanagoyomi was specifically opened for women.
