Last July 9, Kawara CAFÉ & KITCHEN released a summer limited edition beverage featuring a whole popsicle submerged in a drink. They collaborated with ICETACHE, an ice popsicle booth located at a skateboard park in Sapporo, in developing the unique, sweet drink.
They offer the beverage in two interesting and distinctly Japanese flavors. One of them, the Black Sesame Candy X Matcha Latte (¥850), is a combination of a slightly bitter matcha syrup and strong black sesame taste. On the other hand, the Pineapple Candy X Yuzu Ginger (¥850) contains yuzu (a citrus fruit) syrup with ginger ale and pineapple.
How you'll enjoy the beverage will completely be up to you. For one, you can directly eat the popsicle first before finishing your drink. Or better yet, keep the popsicle inside the drink then let it melt and mix with the base drink. You'll find that the two flavors actually work pretty well together!
