Here’s Where You Can Enjoy Sake-Flavored Grilled Fish and Alcoholic Drinks in Japan

Last May 10, 2018, the Tamai Group restaurant chain opened a Japanese pub that serves fish and Japanese alcoholic drinks. Every day, the pub purchases 10 types of fresh seafood from the port, including sashimi, boiled fish, and grilled fish among others.

Uotama’s Original Assorted Sashimi (¥1,058) comes with seven kinds of seafood.

The pub’s specialty dish is the
Uotama Original Assorted Sashimi (¥1,058), featuring seven daily seafoods. Aside from that, a la carte dishes, like the Homemade Cuttlefish Shiokara Preserves (¥410) are also offered in the pub’s menu. These dishes are best paired with the pub’s Japanese sake (¥378 per bottle), which is carefully selected from different areas in Japan.

Fresh seafood is imported from the market every day.

Boiled fish (¥410)

From the 10 types of seafood available at the pub, some are served as sashimi (¥480) and the others are served as boiled fish (¥410). We recommend that you try the
Assorted Sashimi (¥1,058) which consists of seven types of sashimi.

Different kinds of Japanese sake are available at the pub from ¥378 each.

At the pub, you can choose from a variety of Japanese sakes such as the Junmai sake (a sake made only from rice) and Daiginjo (a premium sake made only from the best parts of the rice). What’s more, you can request for the pub’s
Daily Grilled Fish (¥486) to be recooked into a Sake-Flavored Grilled Fish Bone for only ¥810.

The pub has a calm and relaxed atmosphere.

Tamai’s symbol, the golden bell, is displayed at the entrance.

The Shell Grilled Crab Innards (¥734) is a highly recommended side dish for alcoholic drinks.

The pub offers various kinds of Japanese sake.

Cap off your meal with the Tamagokake Gohan (rice eaten with a raw egg as topping) (¥518).
