Gion Tsujiri Gion Main Branch
Matcha Ice Cream (¥470)
At Gion Tsujiri, a traditional Uji matcha shop loved by many people, the ice cream is made from matcha created in a traditional way. Drinks such as green tea are also available for takeout.
The matcha used for the ice cream has such a good quality that you can enjoy it as a matcha drink. There are also Hoji Tea Ice Cream (¥470) you can try.
Matcha is carefully grinded.

Kyo Hayashiya Kyoto Sanjyo Branch
Kyo Hayashiya opened about 260 years ago and is one of the representative matcha shops in Kyoto. Among the various menus using matcha and green tea, matcha ice cream is popular among various people. It is made of matcha which is of an original brand of the shop.

Chiyo no Haku has a slight sweetness and strong flavor of the matcha fills your mouth.

Kyo Kanmi Mon no Suke Chaya Shimizu Branch
At Kyo Kanmi Mon no Suke Chaya, you can enjoy sweets from the Meiji era. The cream, which forms the base, is carefully chosen and has a rich taste.
Matcha Ice Cream (¥378)
The Uji matcha has a mild and rich flavor. There are two types of ice creams: kinako and matcha.
Matcha is mixed with rich cream.
Kyo Kanmi Mon no Suke Chaya Shimizu Branch is located at 3-333-3 Shimizu, Higashiyanma Ward, Kyoto City. It is open from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. It’s a 17-minute-walk from Keihan Gion Shijyo Station.
A fluffy and cute silhouette ice cream is very popular take-out item from Yuzen Chaya in Arashiyama. Topped with Japanese style monaka and sugar on top of the smooth Matcha and Kyoto soy sauce. There are also open air benches.
Moku Fuwa Kyoto Ice Cream Deluxe Matcha (¥500)
The matcha is slightly sweet and has a soft taste, which makes it popular among children and adults.
The ice cream machine has a big mouthpiece, which is the secret to the ice cream’s shape.

Yuzen Chaya is located at 20-27 Kita Zoro Town, Saga Tenryuji, Ukyo Ward, Kyoto City. It is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is a short walk from Randen Arashiyama Station.
CAFÉ ETRANGER NARAD
You can find an IG-worthy ice cream at CAFÉ ETRANGER NARAD, which is located inside the Nara City Sightseeing Center. There is a cute deer cookie on top of the Japanese green tea-flavored ice cream. The ice cream cone is also colorful and cute, making it a popular choice among customers.
NARAD Ice Cream Yamato Cha (¥450)
There are three flavors to choose from: NARAD green tea flavor, vanilla flavor, and a green tea vanilla mix. (¥486 if you eat it inside the shop)
Kuromitsu Kinako Parfait (¥950 yen) also has a deer cookie on top (only for dine-in)

Drinks are available from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Lunch time is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dinner time is from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. It is a 5-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station.
GREEN CAFE STYLE Sanoah Nijyo Branch
A luxurious golden ice cream awaits you at GREEN CAFE STYLE Sanoah Nijyo Branch. Aside from being decorated with a gold leaf from Hori Kinpakuko, a shop that opened more than 300 years ago, the ice cream also uses two times the amount of matcha powder than regular ones.
Kinpaku (gold leaf) Ice Cream (¥1,200)
On top is a kind of rice cracker with a drawing of a wall painting in the Nijyo Castle. The toppings also change according to the season.
