Famous Kyoto Tea Shop Tsujiri Opens Its Flagship Store in Tokyo
BRB, checking out their limited edition sweets!
Tsujiri (Ginza Flagship Store)
B2F GINZA SIX, 6-10-1 Ginza, Chuo Ward, Tokyo
Japanese tea lovers are no strangers to Tsujiri. The famous tea house in Kyoto, known to the locals as Kyoto-Uji Sohonka Tsujiri, has been in business since 1860, the first year of the Man-en era in Japanese history.
To this day, Tsujiri continues to grow. Their recently opened flagship store in Ginza, Tokyo is a testament to that. A fusion of the traditional and modern, it sells tea and limited edition sweets, and has a takeout cafe stand with an exclusive matcha menu. Other items such as souvenirs and gifts like matcha, sencha, and yatsuhashi, Kyoto’s souvenir sweets flavored with cinnamon, are also for sale.
As if all that weren't enough to entice visitors to make the trip to the Tokyo branch, Tsujiri's flagship store offers two exclusive items: Tsujiri’s rich matcha soft-serve ice cream, which has twice the amount of Uji green, and Kyoto rich matcha terrine, whose rich dough is made from matcha and whose white chocolate is carefully baked at a low temperature—both of which have earned our matcha seal of approval.
