The Osu Shopping Street in Nagoya is a popular food trip destination in Japan. On weekends, long lines of people form in front of the shops. While the area is mostly known as a shopping destination, there are also stores there that serve different kinds of snacks.
Below, we list down some of the shops we visited in the area!
The Osu Shopping Street is filled with various attractions.
It is jam-packed with people during weekends and holidays.
Taiwan’s Baozi Paopaotei
After undergoing training in a local food stall in Taiwan, the owner opened his own shop called Taiwan’s Baozi Paopaotei, which serves delicious handmade baozi (fried buns). Aside from the Roubao (¥180), a fried meat bun with hot and juicy filling, the store also offers Tsaipao (¥180), a vegetable-filled fried bun, and Gyoza (starts at ¥350).
Have a bite of this steaming juicy roubao!
