Chocolate specialty store, Bonnel Café, started offering a variety of shaved ice such as one that is covered with a long piece of ganache chocolate and Cake Mitaina Kakigoori (cake-like shaved ice), where ganache chocolate mousse is squeezed on the shaved ice in front of you. This is offered at their Jujo branch for a limited time from April 20 until the end of September 2019.
You can choose from three types of shaved ice—Strawberry Tarte (¥800), Bitter Chocolate Cake (¥800), and Pistachio White Chocolate Cake (¥950). Plus, you can choose your choice of toppings from 18 selections (from ¥50 to ¥300) to create your original version of shaved ice.
Among all the toppings, we recommend the big Nama Chocolate (ganache) that almost covers the shaved ice which became popular last year. We also recommend the Nama Choco Mousse where the staff squeezes the ganache mousse in front of you. Perhaps something you’d love to document and post on your Instagram story?
