Edomae-style Matsuki Sushi is a famous sushi restaurant listed in the Michelin Guide.
There is a spacious counter and small separate Japanese-style table seats on the first floor and Japanese-style rooms on the second floor.
Many people visit the restaurant to get a taste of their sushi offered at a reasonable price. The restaurant uses fresh seafood—delivered directly from Toyama, Kanazawa, and Aichi—and selected ingredients like Hida Koshihikari Rice from contract farmers and soy sauce made in Hida.
The Omakase Nigiri Sushi (Che’s Choice, ¥3,564) is a definite must-eat at the restaurant.
Omakase Nigiri / The combination of rich flavored vinegar rice and fresh ingredients is outstanding!
The sushi chef carefully prepares each dish in the restaurant.
The 10-piece nigiri sushi set includes Hida beef, fatty tuna, and abalone. The ingredients used in the sushi also vary depending on the season. Part of what makes the restaurant’s sushi special is the strong vinegar rice, which brings out the taste of the fresh ingredients.
In addition to this, the Hida Beef Steak Bowl (¥3,024) from the lunch menu highlights the taste of Hida beef and comes with Dashi soy sauce. Since the hearty steak bowl is only lightly seasoned with salt and pepper, you can still taste the sweetness of the Hida beef fully.
Hida Beef Steak Bowl / The taste of the thick-cut Hida beef and rice soaked in meat flavor is superior.
Enjoy the Michelin-approved and handmade dishes offered at good value when you visit this restaurant!
