Don’t be fooled by this cafe’s plain exterior because it’s definitely rich with something yummy inside!
Book and Bed Tokyo Shinsaibashi Branch is a cafe attached to a hostel that also lets you enjoy being surrounded by 2,000 books. With black as their main theme, they transformed their menu from food to drinks with bamboo charcoal powder to have a consistent black appearance. The KOBORERU SANDWICH series has a range of fruit sandwiches to choose from, and they’re planning to add seasonal fruits on the menu as well.

Béchamel white sauce with garlic butter and bamboo charcoal, finished off with avocado toppings on an 8x7cm mini toast.

Ouchi Pan (house-shaped bread) of Boulangerie & Cafe BRUNO is too cute to eat! This adorable house-shaped bread is the idea of the owner, who thought of making mini toasts similar to knick-knacks, which she loves to collect. Adults and children get excited over the cute menu that looks like something out of a fairy tale. They also have the popular Ouchi Pan mini-series and Gakkou Pan (school-shaped bread).

This book cafe is owned by a former librarian and is also managed by a toast lover. They made their toasts palm-sized so that you can hold them on one hand while you freely carry your book with the other. Have some quality alone time in this thoughtful and homey cafe.

This cafe & wine bar is produced by a beauty salon established during 1930. Their coffee (¥540) is carefully filtered with a paper drip and their toast is made using a high temp toaster oven that retains the moisture and chewy texture of the bread.


Shirasu (whitebait) Toast (¥594) goes well with white wine (¥540).


Shirasu
is scattered on top of the thick slice of loaf consisting of sweet, fresh, crispy Awaji-produced onion and mixed cheese.


The cafe can be found in a building built during the early Showa era that stands out among the urban landscapes of Nakazakicho.

uses 3.5cm-thick high tin loaf slices from Painduce, a popular bakery in Osaka that's famous for their  toast. Their original mix for their koppe pan (hot dog buns usually with different toppings) keeps its fluffiness even after some time. Locally produced ingredients, like honey, is used so that you won’t have to worry about the safety of their products.


Almond Gorogoro Toast (¥280) is their bestseller.


Butter mixed with roasted almonds is spread on the toast, giving a distinctive crunchy texture. It takes 50 minutes to roast the almonds to give off that perfect aroma.
