Japan Is the 9th Most Peaceful Country in the World According to This Report
The Philippines ranks 18th in the Asia-Pacific region.

In the latest report Global Peace Index 2019, available on the website of Vision Humanity, run by the Institute for Economics and Peace, Japan ranks at the 9th most peaceful country in the world. The research is conducted across 163 independent states and territories. The lower the score, the better the ranking.

It is said that the GPI covers 99.7 percent of the world’s population, using 23 qualitative and quantitative indicators from highly respected sources, and measures the state of peace using three thematic domains: the level of Societal Safety and Security; the extent of Ongoing Domestic and International Conflict; and the degree of Militarisation.
