Starbucks Just Dropped These Limited Edition Wooden Mugs And We’re in Love
2-47 Okamoto, Takayama, Gifu Prefecture
Open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
When Starbucks Coffee Japan first introduced JIMOTO Made, a series of designer mugs imbued with Japanese traditional craftsmanship, the goal was to promote the local industry.
Now on its 3rd edition, JIMOTO Made is releasing Tobikanna, mugs made out of Japanese hardwoods tochi and hoo. A first of their kind, the mugs are a collaboration with Oak Village, a local wood furniture manufacturer in the town of Takayama in the Gifu Prefecture.
While each cup is modern and lacquered, it’s designed with traditional Japanese art techniques.
These are only available at the Takayama-Okamoto branch.
