These Clothing Care Items from Shibuya LOFT Are Perfect for Travelers

Stock up on these essentials.

To say that the Japanese have mastered the art of designing products is an understatement. It doesn’t hurt that they’re usually pretty cute, too. The next time you go to Japan, check out stores like
Shibuya LOFT. Chances are, you’ll find items that you didn’t know you needed. We certainly did. For travelers who are more particular about the state of their clothes, here are several awesome finds from the store:

Hedgehog Care Brush

Hedgehog Care Brush (¥1,728) is a small clothing brush that’s shaped like a hedgehog. It comes in three types: a hard brush that’s used for suits and coats, a soft brush that’s suitable for delicate clothes, and a pill removal brush that removes pilling or lint from delicate clothes. These items are all exclusively sold at LOFT.

Electric Cleaner

T-Fal’s Kedama Cleaner
(¥2,139) is a battery-run device that’s used to remove lint and pilling from clothes. Its three-layer electric blade feature helps remove pilling from a wide area in a short amount of time. You can use it on your favorite sweater since it protects the texture of the fabric.

Maintenance-Free Brush

(¥1,296) is a maintenance-free brush that automatically cleans itself after returning it inside its case. It remains clean for each time you want to use it. You can dispose of the dust simply by removing the bottom of the case.

PEDIC SPORT (¥4,731) is a chargeable UV sterilizer that kills up to 99.99 percent of odor-causing bacteria like E. coli, S. aureus, salmonella, P. aeruginosa, and fungi. To use it, simply expose the object under the UV for 10 full minutes. You can also use it on several other products such as helmets and sports goods. Since the device is quite small, it can easily be brought outdoors and can fit inside your luggage.
