DigitaReal Illumination 2019, from November 23 to February 14, 2020
Indoor illumination that you can enjoy even in the cold winter.
At Tokyo Joypolis, one of the largest indoor theme parks in Japan, there is a light performance that combines digital and real lights. In addition to the projection mapping stage, there will also be colorful decorations inside, and the game character Sonic the Hedgehog will show up disguised as Santa.
DigitaReal Illumination 2019 is located at Decks Tokyo Beach 3~5F 1-6-1 Daiba, Minato District, Tokyo and is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Schedules may vary.
ANCHORS is a restaurant on the third floor of the same Decks Tokyo Beach and is also a great place to visit. From their terrace you can see the whole bay area and it is definitely the best location to view the illumination held during winter. You can eat modern American cuisine, and it would be a choice spot for a date.
Beef steak and other dishes that go well with wine are available.

VenusFort Illumination 2019, from November 1 to mid-March 2020
The ornaments and drapes are glamorously displayed.
The themes for this year on their 20th anniversary are “Arigato (thank you),” “Harmony,” and “Heartful.” Snow productions using lights of a mirror ball can also be seen at this illumination show. Special shows are held at the fountain space during the day and night for 30 minutes each. There are also photo spots available indoors, so you better not miss the chance to snap a picture for the gram.
VenusFort Illumination 2019 is located at VenusFort 2F, 1-3-15 Aomi, Koto District, Tokyo and is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (Schedules may vary)
Giant Sky Wheel in Palette Town Illumination Christmas Version, from November 2 to December 25
A large Christmas tree shows up on the Giant Sky Wheel.
There are also lightings that forms an image of Santa Claus.
At 115 meters high, one of the largest ferris wheels in the world will transform into something fit for the holidays for a limited time only. For its Christmas version, there will be lights that will form Santa Claus and a giant Christmas tree. Other motifs such as ribbons, bells, and stars will also be shown. You can have a grand view of the nightscape of Tokyo from the ferris wheel when you visit with your loved one.
Giant Sky Wheel in Palette Town is located at Palette Town 1-3 Aomi, Koto District, Tokyo and is open from sunset to 10 p.m. and 10:40 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and days before a holiday, daily.
MORI Building DIGITAL ART MUSEUM: EPSON teamLab Borderless

teamLab Borderless is a museum without a map created by art collective teamLab. About 60 artworks are displayed in the vast 10,000 square meter space made of five different worlds. From its name “Borderless,” there are no boundaries between the artworks and the visitors. Because of this, you may freely immerse yourself in the world of art. Find yourself in an out of this world experience and enjoy the wonderful experience of borders disappearing between the artworks and other people.

Blooming flowers change depending on the time of your visit.
You may also enjoy the EN TEA HOUSE Genkatei. If you move the teacup in your hands, flowers fall and petals spread from the small teacup. It’s like a tea house where the drinks are an infinitely expanding world.
An artwork is created as long as there is tea in the bowl. The artwork vanishes once you drink all of the tea(¥500 ~)
