Kagome Memorial

is one of the companies that represent Japan. This company was established in Tokai City in 1899. Kagome Memorial is a facility inside Kagome Ueno Factory where you can learn about Kagome’s history including its founder Ichitaro Kanie’s life. You can also know more about the manufacturing process of the products made with natural ingredients like tomatoes through various exhibits and videos. It takes about 60 minutes to look through the whole place, and a guide will be available to explain everything. It’s also nice that you can get Kagome products such as souvenirs and other surprising presents.

The exhibitions introduce Kagome’s history that started with tomato sauce.

You can also taste concentrated tomato which are the ingredients for their products.

Tomato Sauce (now tomato puree) was the first product that was made. Rare products are also featured in the exhibit.

They are open from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Kagome Memorial is closed on weekends, Japanese holidays, and days when the factory is closed.

Coca Cola Bottlers Japan Tokai Factory

Coca Cola Bottlers Japan Tokai Factory, tours are held three times a day where a guide staff shows you around the factory. You can watch how Coca Cola products are made and learn more about their products in the most amusing ways like the Bubble Booth where bubbles come out reacting to your every move. You can also get Coca Cola drinks and a mini logo towel to take home as a souvenir.

This is a photo spot in the entrance with the past logos and signage of Coca Cola. It was made to look like the photo spot in the Coca Cola Museum of Atlanta.

You can get souvenirs to take home after the tour.

Coca Cola Bottlers Japan Tokai Factory is located at 266-18 Tonowari, Minami Shibatamachi, Tokai City, Aichi Prefecture. Tour starts at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. The factory is closed on weekends, Japanese holidays, and on the days the factory is closed.


Toho Gas Gas Energy Hall

Toho Gas Gas Energy Hall
is a free exhibition center run by Toho Gas that has exhibitions featuring global warming and energy. Have fun while learning at 18 different exhibition booths you can choose from. Energy Saving Shopping is the most popular among children which makes you wonder how you can reduce carbon dioxide in our environment. Pick a card about an energy-saving action and when you scan the barcode, it will show you how much that certain action can help save energy. The tour that is accompanied by movies and other experiment labs that will let you experience the world of liquefied natural gas is held during weekdays only, so make sure to reserve beforehand.

Use the scope and press the orange button once you have chosen a building or facility in the miniature model. You’ll see how city gas is used.
