Pick strawberries at Agurisu Hamanako.
Agurisu Hamanako is a strawberry picking farm that has been running for about 30 years in Hamamatsu where it is warm all year round. Strawberries here are at the sweetest level and are delightfully juicy. You can also buy non-additive original strawberry jams and vegetables harvested in the morning at the farmer’s store.
Fully ripened strawberries produced at warm Hamamatsu have a delicious special taste.

Agurisu Hamanako is located at 2014-1 Hiramatsu-cho, Nishi district, Hamamatsu city, Shizuoka. You may contact them through +81-53-487-0541. They are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy 30 minutes of eat-all-you-can strawberry picking for ¥1,600 for elementary students and older, and ¥1,400 for preschoolers. Starting April 1, the fees are now ¥1,200 for elementary school students and older, and ¥1,000 for preschoolers. Strawberry picking is available until early-May. No reservation is needed but groups of 20 people or more can reserve. You can find Akihime and Benihoppe strawberries in Agurisu Hamanako. Enjoy your strawberries with free condensed milk toppings. Bringing food and taking strawberries home are not allowed.
Marvel at the plants in bloom at Hamamatsu Flower Park.
This flower park by Hamanako Lake has about 100,000 of about 3000 kinds of plants that bloom each season. Even in the cold season, you can see flowers and trees that would make you still feel like it’s spring. Take pictures of flowers like Kanzanji Sakura, Kawazu Sakura, and Minato Sakura.
You can enjoy cherry blossoms that have bloomed already. Canola flowers are also a beautiful sight to see.

See rare animals at Waku Waku! Hama ZOO Hamamatsu city Zoo.
Waku Waku! Hama ZOO Hamamatsu city Zoo is a zoo without the distracting fences that hinders your view of the animals. You can see about 100 kinds of animals in this zoo like lions, red pandas, and golden lion tamarins which are very rare and can only be seen here in Japan.

Hamanako Lake Side Plaza Mikkabi Onsen Manyo no Hana is a hot spring inside a resort hotel by Hamanako Lake. There are big outside baths and baths with massage effects which you can enjoy in this resort hotel. Mikkabi hot springs will make your skin beautiful and is gentle on the skin. You can also enjoy and watch projection mapping from 7 p.m. while taking a bath. There are different motifs to view for the projection mapping like four seasons, and other new performances like the winter scenery, and scenes from outer space that came out at the end of December. It’s a gorgeous performance accompanied by music too.

Hamanako Lake Side Plaza Mikkabi Onsen Manyo no Hana is located at 200 Shimoona, Mikkabi-cho, Kita district, Hamamatsu city, Shizuoka. You may contact them through +81-53-524-1311. They are open from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., from 1 p.m. to 12 a.m. (last entrance at 11:30 p.m.). The plaza is open until 11 a.m. and from 1 p.m. on weekends. They are closed on maintenance days, and at the beginning of September. The entrance fee is ¥1,650 for elementary school students and older, while it is free for preschoolers. There are twelve baths in total (six each for men and women’s bath). Their hot springs are alkaline simple hot springs. The hotel provides guests with a bath towel, shampoo, hair conditioner, and body soap for free.
