You Have to Visit These Strawberry Picking Spots in Japan That’s Perfect For the Season

Strawberry time!


It’s finally strawberry picking season again! In this article, we will introduce strawberry picking spots in Mie. Enjoy each farms’ very own version of strawberry picking with a twist like chocolate fountains and original sweets!


Tado Green Farm


You can enjoy up to 5 kinds of strawberries according to the season.


This is one of the biggest strawberry farms in Mie that produces 17 kinds of strawberries in 27 farmhouses. At the sweets shop on their farm, you can enjoy sweets like Parfait (¥1,515) made with 15 different strawberry types, and Strawberry Candy (¥350 ).


Their course with the chocolate fountain as set (¥2600) is also popular.


Tado Green Farm is located at 4132 Mizono, Tado-cho, Kuwana-shi, Mie Prefecture and is open from 9 am to 5 pm. Also, 5 pm to 8 pm on Friday, weekends, and days before national holidays for barbecue at night time. You may contact them at +81-594-48-7447. Strawberry picking is a 30-minute eat-all-you-can activity. The fee is ¥2,100 for middle school students and older, ¥1,800  for elementary school students, and ¥1,300 for 2-year-olds and younger. (Fees may change like ¥1,800 per middle school student and older from 14 April). The activity is available until the beginning of June. There are 15 kinds of strawberries available like Akihime. Enjoy free condensed milk as a topping. You may also bring toppings, drinks, and lunches of your own. Take-outs are not allowed.


Kouchiku  Danshakau


Locally produced Kaorino is also available here.


Kouchiku Danshakau
is also one of the biggest strawberry farms in Mie. There is a  café where you can enjoy strawberry sweets that were made in the spring of 2019. They also sell original strawberry products you can opt to purchase.


Kouchiku  Danshakau is located at 2257-3 Jinishi Oya, Takanoo-cho, Tsu-shi, Mie Prefecture and is open from 10 am to 4 pm daily. You may contact them at +81-59-230-2833. Kouchiku  Danshakau strawberry picking is a 50-minute eat-all-you-can activity. The fees are ¥2,000 for elementary school students and older, and ¥1,400 for 3-year-olds and older. From February 11, a ¥200 discount per succeeding month will be offered. Strawberry picking will only be available until the middle of May. Reservation is needed so make sure to secure your slots by contacting them through their phone. Kaorino strawberries are available on this farm. Condensed milk (¥200) is their available toppings. Bringing your own toppings are allowed. Take-outs are prohibited.


Aisei Berry


Enjoy picking well-grown strawberries.


Akihime
and Beni Hoppe are produced with organic soil with minimal pesticides. There are also mini cafes and parks in Aisei Park. Enjoy strawberry picking all day in a pleasant environment.

Aisei Berry is located at 2218 Sakkadai, Kaige-cho, Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture and is open from 10 am to 4 pm. Open until 3 pm on Sundays. Closed on Wednesdays. You may
contact them at +81-59-321-8383. Strawberry picking is a 45-minute eat-all-you-can activity. The fees are ¥1,950 for middle school students and older, ¥1,750 for elementary school students, and ¥1,250  for 2-year-olds and older. Fees will decrease starting from April 5. The activity will only be available until the end of May. Make sure to reserve through the phone or via their website. Akihime and Beni Hoppe strawberries are popularly seen here. Their topping “A Little Rich Dip Chocolate” is available for ¥300. Bringing toppings of your own are allowed meanwhile take-outs are not.
