There’s a Cafe in Fukuoka That Focuses on Coffee and Heated Tobacco
REC COFFEE meets RETHINK CAFE
1-2F, 2-3-37 Tenjin, Chuo District, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka
Open from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. daily
If you love coffee, you’ll find lots of shops in Japan that cater to cafe lovers. Aside from good coffee, cafes in Japan have a unique appeal which might interest you. This time, we will introduce a cafe that focuses on COFFEE and T-vapor (heated tobacco).
The inside of the shop looks stylish.
REC COFFEE meets RETHINK CAFE is owned by Yoshikazu Iwase, who won the Japan Barista Championship (JBC) for the second consecutive year, and Osamu Kitazoe. This fourth store in Fukuoka City is the first store in the Tenjin area that has a different style from the others. This cafe collaborates with a heated tobacco called Ploom TECH.
Although it is located in an accessible location and just had its opening, the store is almost full every day. The confectionery section hired a pastry chef that prepares sweets such as Tenjin Cookie Chou, which is exclusively available at the store.
They started home roasting from the summer of 2018. Enjoy the difference in taste between their drip coffee and their Americano brewed with coffee beans roasted by the barista.
The first floor is a café.
The second floor is a shop of Ploom TECH. It opened last August 2018.
A corner of the cafe sells daily necessities and miscellaneous goods selected under the theme of Rethink Every Day.
