Didn’t get to catch the illumination events that ran during the holidays? You can still witness bright lights in all its colorful, breathtaking glory. Around six million bright and colorful LED lights make Lake Sagami Illumillion the largest illumination festival in the Kanto region. Housed in Lake Sagami Resort Pleasure Forest, this spectacle has been open since November 3 of last year and will run until April 8 of this year.
Now on its ninth edition, the illumination resort has a lot of awesome attractions and activities in store for visitors.
Bumpy Cart takes visitors on a ride around the shining garden filled with pink flowers. Since the car operates by itself, you can fully appreciate the fantastic space surrounded by illuminated flowers.
For those without any fear of heights, hop on the Lift of Light ferris wheel and admire the beauty of the lights below.
Delight in the amazing view of the rainbow lights that lead to the top of the mountain from high up the Lift of Light.
On the way up, you will be welcomed by the Tree of Light and the Diamond of Light. Other daring rides such as Paradise Pilot and The Firmament Heaven are also worth a try.
Nestled between the Lift of Light are illumination spots filled with LED lights called Ocean of Light and Forest of Light respectively. From the little windows on the Tunnel of Light, which constantly changes its color into blue, gold, and green, you’ll see the fish of light that’s exactly like an Aquarium of Light.
There’s also an area called Safari Park of Light with illuminated forest creatures like glittering lions and bears.
What’s more, Paddington, the mascot bear of Lake Sagami Resort Pleasure Forest, will make an appearance.
Don’t miss the highlights of this year’s illumination event: The Story of Paddington, Sky Rider, Niagara of Light, and Palace of Light, where you’ll spot Paddington Bear.
There are elaborate photo spots in various places in the park such as the Princess Illumi, which has a comic foreground. You may snap a double-tap worthy photo standing behind it and the Ball of Light!
For the last stop in your adventure, don’t miss the breathtaking light show at the Palace of Light.
Don’t forget to add Lake Sagami Illumination to your itinerary! Believe us, exploring this place is an experience you’ll never forget.
