Hakatamachiya Guesthouse Kaine’s
rustic ambiance is popular with domestic travelers and foreign backpackers. The rooms are divided into male and female dormitories, twin rooms, triple rooms, and more. Aside from being reasonably priced, it is also close to Central Fukuoka’s Tenjin and Nakazu, and is recommended for those who plan to do a lot of sightseeing in Fukuoka and Kyushu.

The building is built in the traditional Hakata style, the warmth of the wood and the stone paving making it look somewhat refined. The name “Kaine” comes from the saying kaiwai no oto ni mimi wo sumasu, which roughly translates to “the ears listen carefully to the surrounding sounds.” Located away from the hustle and bustle of the city, in Susakimachi, it’s a great place to slow down and relax.
