It's the first of its kind in the city.
RAKU SPA GARDEN Nagoya
1-65-2 Heiwagaoka, Meito District, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture
Open from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.
Last June 2018, the city’s first large bath facility called the RAKU SPA GARDEN Nagoya opened in the Meito area. It is managed by the popular bathhouse chain, Gokurakuyu.
There are free shuttle buses at the Metro Meijo Line Sakae Station (near Exit 10A), and Metro Higashiyama Line Hoshigaoka Station (near Exit 3) that can take you to RAKU SPA GARDEN Nagoya.
The interiors of the facility were inspired by the image of a forest. Inside, there is a soft carpet that you can comfortably walk on when touring around the place.
There are also free spaces that you can relax in as well as premium rooms that you can rent, costing anywhere from ¥800 to ¥1,000 per hour. What’s more, there are semi-private rooms around the facility where you can leaf through 40,000 magazines and comic books or enjoy free Wi-Fi.
The atrium is spacious.
The facility’s floors are covered in soft carpet.
You can choose from around 40,000 magazines and comics to read.
A semi-private free space is also available for you to rest in.
Overall, there are six indoor baths and four outdoor baths at RAKU SPA GARDEN Nagoya. Note that each bath can be used by both men and women.
We recommend that you try the Natural Hot Spring Iwa-no-yu, which is a simple alkaline bath that will make your skin look beautiful and fresh. You may also try the Kinu-no-yu, whose waters have a soft, silk-like texture. Aside from these, the facility also offers the Soda Water Bath, which doesn’t just tighten your skin’s pores but also helps increase your metabolism and keep you from feeling cold after your bath.

The men’s and women’s changing rooms each have facilities that make them unique from one another. In the men’s changing room, there is a sun tanning machine. On the other hand, the women’s changing room does not. Instead, they have Dyson Supersonic hair dryers and a salt sauna.

RAKU SPA GARDEN Nagoya also has five types of bedrock baths, which include the Low-Temperature Bedrock Bath (conversation room) that’s known for its pleasant aroma. They also have a Finnish sauna called the Loyly Chamber, the Amethyst Chamber whose walls are covered with amethyst, and a Korean sauna known as the Han-jung-mak – Planetarium Chamber where visitors can experience what it’s like to be inside a planetarium.
You can gaze upon the stars while relaxing inside the planetarium sauna.
This chamber functions as a room where you can let your body cool down.
Other services provided by the facility include massages, haircuts, and meals.
