Japanese public baths are evolving, and Kyoto Ruri Kei Onsen for REST RESORT, located on the Ruri Plateau at 500 meters altitude, is leading the way. The popular hot spring facility is widely known for giving its guests an extraordinary experience. In 2017, a lantern terrace was set up for the glamping area. They also have a comfortable hammock tent. If you need more privacy, the Okomori Booth is a private room where you can make yourself at home.
In addition to the Radon spring, they offer open-air baths and hot spring pools that children can enjoy as well.
The radon open-air bath
The open-air bath boasts an ample amount of radon, and is effective for soothing neuralgia and joint pain. Warm your lower body with herb steam at the herb tent to promote blood circulation (¥1,620 for 30 minutes). The Mysterious Room gives you an opportunity to heal yourself with light, healing music and negative ion.
The Mysterious Room
You can also enjoy yourself at the Yusura-An, the resort’s signature Japanese restaurant that uses fresh local ingredients located in the main building. Order the limited edition Tanba Black Bean Miso Udon to warm up your body.
