This Resort Complex in Japan Is Popular For Its Café, Restaurants, and, Park

It also gives a wonderful view of the sunset and the sea!

Nojima Scuola
, which was opened in 2012, has become a famous tourist site in Awajishima, Hyogo. Formerly an elementary school, the building was renovated and transformed into a resort complex with popular restaurants and a café. The restaurants have salad bars that use the island’s vegetables, bakeries, and markets.

The first floor of Nojima Scuola has a café, bakery, and market to buy fresh local vegetables from.

Here’s a list of establishments that you can visit within the complex:


miele


At miele, there are plenty of sweets with honey.

The salad bar, where you can eat fresh vegetables, is popular among residents on the island.


On the other hand, the bakery is also famous among the locals. It’s become the store where they buy freshly baked bread from.


In 2014, they opened a seaside patio near Nojima Scuola. It became so popular that a  total of 240,000 people visited the store and Nojima Scuola in 2016.


Craft Circus



Craft Circus
, which opened in 2016, started as a place to meet artists. It was just an open-air market where food trucks and artists gathered together in the one-acre space.


The building that stands today was built in March 2017 and has become a shopping mall where you can eat food and purchase different types of goods.


Ocean Terrace



Ocean Terrace
is the first self-roasting-style grill restaurant in Awajishima. It was opened when an estimate of 2,500 to 3,000 people visited the three restaurants each day and no more people could enter.


Anime Park Nijigennomori Awajishima Park of Hyogo


Almost the same time as last year, the first Japanese experience-based amusement park called,
Nijigennomori opened. It collaborated with Japanese anime and manga such as Crayon Shinchan and Hinotori in creating some of its attractions.


The park has different sets of athletic courses with varying difficulty levels.


Nojima Scuola also hosts events such as the
Awaji Art Circus, where performers from 17 countries showcase their skills, and the UNDOUKAI World Cup, where more than 50,000 people participate.


Last April 27, an oriental restaurant called
HELLO KITTY SMILE opened.
