The SAKURA AQUARIUM Directed BY NAKED is a seasonal event that’s held from March 2 to April 21 at the Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa. It is hosted by the NAKED Inc. and allows visitors to enjoy a cutting-edge, state of the art cherry blossom viewing experience.
The theme for this year’s exhibition is “cherry blossom viewing in a sea of floating petals.”
Cherry blossom flowers in full bloom will welcome the guests at the entrance
The soft colors of the cherry blossoms cover up the entire entrance. On the other hand, opulent cherry anthias are displayed in the water tank of the “Sakura Aquarium.”
The aquarium’s newest attraction is the “Cherry Blossom Viewing Penguins” which features a penguin performance and projection mapping.
The jellyfish, and neon lights give this area a laid-back vibe.
In one area of the aquarium, jellyfish are displayed inside seven columnar water tanks and a symbolic crystal water tank. The LED lights and water tank illumination are completely in sync with the music on the scene. The special program paints the space in a beautiful pink and blue hue symbolizing cherry blossoms at night.
This dolphin performance is created using the newest digital art technologies of water, music, light, and images.
The night dolphin performance is a cutting-edge digital performance created with water, music, lights, and images. The show’s theme is a “Sea of Cherry Blossoms”. It tells a story of the beauty of cherry blossoms illustrated alongside an entertaining dolphin performance. Throughout the projection, an infinite number of sakura petals surround the audience while digital art, sakura, and dolphins weave in and out of the picture to create an unforgettable 360-degree hanami experience.
Special Exhibition and Café Bar
The café bar at the aquarium serves refreshing drinks and delicious Japanese confectioneries.
The dark café bar is illuminated by the full-bloom sakura projection mapping. Various drinks and confectioneries are offered to the cherry blossom spectators at the aquarium.
In addition to this, there is a special exhibition area where fish gather alongside images of falling petals and a vast sea to give visitors a fantastic flower experience. Moreover, a drink set plan and original cherry blossom cocktails are available at the top floor of the Shinagawa Prince Hotel.
