Just Looking at These Japanese Hot Spring Photos Is Making Us Feel Less Stressed

Leave your worries behind!

For people who want to relax and let off a little steam, there are a number of hot spring resorts that you can visit in the Tokai area. The hot springs help calm your nerves, while the breathtaking landscapes reinvigorate your senses.

Below, we list down the best hot spring resorts to check out in Japan:

Irako View Hotel

All the rooms in the resort hotel have ocean views. This lets guests freely enjoy the sunrise and sunset.

Irako View Hotel has an outdoor bath called spaVIEW, whose water source comes directly from Ikeda-cho, Gifu Prefecture. It is located a hundred meters above sea level and is designed to look like it flows right into the sea.

The hydrogen carbonate particles in the hot springs are famous for keeping the skin smooth.

The sunset view is also very beautiful.

Irako View Hotel is located at 1460-36 Honeyama, Hii-cho, Tahara City, Aichi Prefecture and is open daily from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. for same-day visits. You may contact them at +81-531-35-6111.

Tenku Kaiyu no Yado Suehiro

You can visit the Laguna Ten Bosch after leisure.

Tenku Kaiyu no Yado Suehiro has become a popular spot for its stunning view of Mikawa Bay. While this is enough of a draw for most visitors, the hotel also offers several activities that also give hotel guests and day-trippers immersive experience: a one-day trip that lets you enjoy kaiseki meals with seafood fresh from the sea and one that gives you access to the bedrock and chartered bath facilities of the hotel.

You can see the Mikawa Bay from the open-air bath.

You can also watch the sunset from the chartered open-air baths. (Reservation is required before using this facility).

The hotel’s foot tub also offers a spectacular scenery.

Tenku Kaiyu no Yado Suehiro is located at 17-1 Oyama, Nichiura-cho, Gamagori City, Aichi Prefecture and is open from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays to Mondays only for same-day visits. You may contact them at +81-533-57-9111.

Hotel Associa Takayama Resort

Free shuttle buses are available from JR Takayama Station to the hotel once every hour.

From the
Hotel Associa Takayama Resort, you can see the Northern Alps over the horizon. The hotel’s seventh floor (Ten no Yu) and fifth floor (Bou no Yu) have the most number of bathtubs across Hida City. Many tourists and locals flock to the hotel’s hot springs on a daily basis. The hotel also offers a lunch package with a one-day bath for only ¥3,950 (reservation is needed).

The Ishidoi Yu hot spring of Ten no Yu has a sense of openness and lets you admire a view of Takayama.

From the Taru Buro, you can also enjoy the amazing landscape of the Northern Alps.

Enjoy the night view of the town near the mountains.

Hotel Associa Takayama Resort is located at 1134 Echigomachi, Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture and is open daily from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. for same-day visits except on some days during the Golden Week or other Japanese holidays. You may contact them at +81-577-36-0001.

Kanzanji Sago Royal Hotel

The Hamanako Palpal and Hamamatsu Zoological Gardens
are quite near, which is why many families stay at this hotel.

The beautiful panoramic bath and open-air bath
Hiten are two infinity baths that the hotel is proud of. We recommend the one-day trip plan with dinner buffet and seafood grill (from ¥5,616, reservation is needed) for those who want to enjoy more of the hotel’s luxury.

You can admire the great view of Hamanako Lake from the open-air bath.

A panoramic view spreads beyond the glass windows of the large bath.

This open-air bath is for men only.

Kanzanji Sago Royal Hotel is located at 3302 Kanzanji-cho, Nishi District, Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for same-day visits except on Japanese long holidays. You may contact them at +81-53-487-0711.
