Meet the New Members of Terrace House Tokyo 2019-2020
The latest season is now streaming on Netflix Japan.
Fans of the hit Japanese reality show, TERRACE HOUSE, will be excited to know that the new season has started streaming on Netflix Japan last May 14. The new series is titled TERRACE HOUSE TOKYO 2019-2020 and takes back the show to the country’s capital. Former seasons of the show were shot in Shonan, Tokyo, Hawaii, Karuizawa.
For those who have not watched the Japanese reality show yet, it features six strangers -- 3 boys and 3 girls -- living in one house. The show captures the friendships and relationships formed inside the house. From forging bonds between the housemates to dealing with misunderstandings and drama, TERRACE HOUSE is quite an entertaining show to watch.
For TERRACE HOUSE TOKYO 2019-2020, the first six members are illustrator Kaori Watanabe (female, 28), actor Shohei Matsuzaki (male, 25), actress Haruka Okuyama (female, 24), musician Kenji Yoshihara (male, 31), fitness trainer Risako Tanabe (female, 21), and part-time employee Ruka Nishinoiri (male, 20). Will they become friends? Will they find love? We’ll have to wait and see as the season unfolds.

This season’s opening theme “Graves” is from the three-piece band CHVRCHES from Glasgow, Scotland. They are set to perform at Fuji Rock Festival and Summer Sonic in Japan. They released their debut album The Bones of What You Believe in September 2013 and their sophomore album Every Open Eye in September 2015.

TERRACE HOUSE began as a series broadcasted on Japanese TV from 2012 to 2014. The previous series TERRACE HOUSE BOYS & GIRLS IN THE CITY, TERRACE HOUSE ALOHA STATE, and TERRACE HOUSE OPENING DOORS are all available to stream on Netflix.
