Opening Hours: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Great news for all Gundam fans! Bandai has opened its first Gundam Base in Japan at the 7th floor of Divercity Tokyo Plaza in Odaiba. The newly opened Gundam mecca is divided into four zones: the Shop Zone, Factory Zone, Builder’s Zone, and Event Zone.
Upon entering the place, visitors will see the main characters in the series all lined up. Other displays include pre-released Gundam and Gunpla plastic models and Gundam Base limited items. You’ll be astonished at the amount of exhibits just from the entrance alone!
The Shop Zone has about 2,000 different kinds of items and 1,500 Gunpla displayed on the shelf! You can choose and compare the Gunpla with the finished kits here.
Fans will be pleased to see a lineup of the first generation Gundam up to the latest one. Aside from the Mobile Suit, battleships such as White Base, as well as the popular SD Gundam series are also available. Moreover, you can also see the largest Gunpla kits namely, the “Gundam GP03 Dendrobium” and “Neo-Zeong.”
They also have a Builder's Zone where you can assemble the Gunpla you purchased right away, just like a kid excited to open and play with your chosen toy as soon as you bought it.
Another place you’ll love is the painting room, where you can design your Gunpla with paints and tools sold in the store. A skilled Meister is there to guide customers to make assembling a Gundam fun and easy!
When you go to the Builder’s Zone, you’ll also find a display of new works of the Gunpla Builder’s World Cup Champion displayed. However, some pieces don’t resemble a Gunpla at first glance—it’s fascinating to see what else can you build when you think out of the box.
In the Factory Zone, you’ll get to see the original design layout of the Gunpla and touch the molds. This area would definitely be enjoyed not only by Gundam fans but also other participants who will observe the demonstration of Gunpla molding machines.
Various events of Gunpla will be held in the Event Zone. The first act activity is the "Gundam base build fighters’ world" based on the Gunpla themed anime, "Gundam Build Fighters." There are a lot of exhibitions that you can only see at the event!
So, what are you waiting for, Gundam and Gunpla fans? We think a visit to Odaiba is in order. See you there!
