Care to sleep inside a hanging tent?

Glamping
is becoming very popular in Japan and many facilities have been popping up in the area, each offering a different type of experience.

In this article, we introduce two glamping spots where you can spend a relaxing holiday near the mountains. Whether you’re looking to go cycling, trekking, or just sitting by a campfire at night, these places will offer you a memorable experience.

Apart from their teepee-style tents, the facility also offers cabin rooms with a bed and sofa. Other amenities, like bathrobes, are available for use at the bathroom as well.

The Sense of Wonder Holistic Glamping Resort
stands on the foot of Mount Yufu. Here, you can choose to book both a teepee-style tent and a cabin for your family. You can also enjoy the beautiful nature by the tent, bonfire shed, or at the terrace, or cozy up in the cabin which has a bath and a toilet. Do note that the facilities of this resort will be expanded soon.

If the weather is clear, you can choose to enjoy your food outdoors and be one with nature.

This bonfire shed, built in 2018, was something the owner wanted for a long time. It has the theme of “playing with fire.”

MAGICAL STAY

The hanging tents are usually up from spring until September. They are hung from two opposite trees, about two to three meters above the ground.

MAGICAL STAY
is a facility in the southernmost part of Kyushu. Hanging tents, which are very rare in Japan, are available at the facility from late March to September. There are many sightseeing spots too, on and near the premises. You can enjoy a gorgeous view of the stars or the sunset when you look towards Mount Kaimon, and indulge in a feast made from locally-produced ingredients.
