This Famous Tourist Spot in Japan Was Created After a Major Volcanic Eruption

Can you believe it?

Kanabe Lava Flow is a famous tourist spot in Japan that was formed after the eruption of the Kannabe Volcano 25,000 years ago. Many waterfalls, formed from the lava flow and river erosion, can also be found at the Inabe River Basin. The largest waterfall here is the Hattan no Taki Waterfall. Known for both its size and pristine waters, the waterfall remains to be one of the most popular spots at Kannabe Plateau.

Upon visiting the falls, you'll feel the coolness of the mist spraying from the water dropping from 24 meters above the ground. This summer, we also recommend enjoying the activities and hot springs at Kannabe Plateau.
