How to get there: It is about 80 minutes train ride from Osaka/Umeda via Hanshin Railway – Himeji Direct Express train.
On September 14 and 15, the Takasago Mantousai 2019 will be held at the south of Sanyo Train Takasago Station in Hyogo Prefecture.
Witness a beautiful light-up event!
During the festival, lantern candles will be lined up in the alley for about six kilometers. These will center on the historical formation of Takasagocho District, which is also recognized as one of Japan’s heritage sites.
All in all, there will be three illuminated venues. The Jazz Gallery for jazz concerts, a showcase of Harima Province’s delectable foods, and several other exhibitions will make up two days filled with illumination displays and music. Walk through the town of lights while feeling the cool sea breeze this incoming autumn season!
The candles in the alley add to the mysterious vibe of the place.
“Besides the three light-up venues of Mizu (Water), Yume (Dream), and Nagomi (Relief), new attractions will be offered this year such as the video wall at the Ideshiokan and Jazz Gallery at the second floor of the Chamber of Commerce. There will also be a market that will sell delicious food from all over Banshu including the Nikuten (a kind of savory Japanese pancake). Enjoy a night of music and lights with your family, friends, or lovers in the town where stars come down once a year!” the person-in-charge of the event tells us.
